I just installed a full 3'' OME lift kit on my 15' Tacoma last night along with the " Carrier Drop".
I went to the alignment shop this afternoon and discovered a vibration from 25mph-35mph. After the alignment it did seem to be a little better,so when i returned back home i pulled the "Carrier Drop" back out to see if it let up or got worse. It did seem to get a little better but its still there ( just not as bad ) and driving me nuts! It under acceleration and de acel-- everything looks good, everythings tight and in place? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Does it go away when in 4WD?

Just make sure you only use 4x4 when going straight on pavement. You start making turns on dry pavement locked in and you will have bigger problems.:)

Ok, so i drove it. Put it in 4wd- Vibs still there- same speeds- never went away never got any worse? I cant feel it in the steering wheel nor does it have any when jacked up and spun in the front- I feel it in the seats as if its in the drive shaft or rear end? Any ideas? And again its not bad- just annoying since im pretty OCD about my truck! lol

Exactly why I just put a one inch leveling kit on my 2015. My 2008 had a 2.5" spacer lift and I had 3 separate vibrations at 3 separate speeds. I really wanted to go with an OME lift, but in the end I didn't want to chase vibes forever on my brand new, $30K plus truck. I am OCD too. Sorry, didn't make you feel better.

And i'm thinking thats how this is going to turn out.. its so dang annoying- this is my 4th toyota- 3rd 3'' lift - 2.5'' on a 4runner- never had any vibes that i remember- but the other tacoma's had 3'' spacer lift's- this time i went with OME lifting coilovers ( diff drop ) everything to make things correct? Then bam- Vibes! Kinda lost on this one-

My vibe seemed better when I removed the carrier bearing drop kit and added shims.

Thats the plan right now, i already removed the carrier drop- ordered the shims- so now its just a waiting game until the shims arrive-And hope and pray the vibes go away!

Subd for outcome with shims. Good luck op. This is the only reason I haven't lifted mine yet. I fear the vibes. Would drive me nuts

It's crazy how it happens to some Tacomas and not others, mine only has a very slight vibe while idle, besides that there's nothing, hope you get it sorted out! Sometimes shims in the rear can help, but you have to find the perfect angle

Just make sure whoever puts your shims on they put them on the right way. I had a shop put them on for me and when I went under my truck to look at them they where on the wrong way
