Sounds like some need to chill out. Remember, it's only personal choice and all of us see it a little differently but we are Truck People in common. Some things I like about the 3, and some about 1 and 2. Hopefully Toyota can learn from some of the suggestions here. But remember, The Corporation is never wrong!

Toyota has been playing its buyers like the fools they are.

I will say that no dogs step in my truck and hauling children is kept to a minimum. I also don't give drunk friends rides.[/QUOTE]
You can always just put all of those things in the bed area anyways for transport. Then you literally have zero wear and tear.

Have to agree here. I am not sure I like the paint code extending inside the truck on the surrounds and the square interior of the 2nd Gen looks more modern to me. So far pictures are not doing the 16 any favors. Hopefully it will look better in person. Its not about more masculine . Its either rounded corners or clean squared off corners and vents that FLOW with the design like the 2nd Gen.

Looks to me like Toyota just changed it to Change it and did not put a lot of thought into the new design

I will probably get one, but one of the biggest disappointments with the new interior is the retention of the clunky rear seat arrangement. I actually use that area for the dog, toolboxes, parts , packages, groceries and anything I don't want getting wet, stolen or blown out at 60mph. I wish they could have copied Ford's load flat rear floor, fold up seat bottoms and 170 degree access cab door.

Ford lifted that rear seat arrangement from Honda's Ridgeline, which they also use in the Honda Fit and HRV. The beauty of Honda's arrangement is you're able to use the seats for passengers and store stuff under the seats, since the floor under the seats is wide open, no cubbies.

I'm completely underwhelmed by the GM twin interiors that seem to get so many rave reviews. Not seeing it personally. Even from pictures I can tell that the 3rd Gen interior is clearly nicer.

I'm the weird guy that would put seat covers on a gen 3 as soon I got it. My bare ass never touches the seat so as long as the padding is good, I am good. My 2002 Tacoma's seats look brand new under the seat covers I got on now.

That 360 view is pretty sweet. I want to add a sunroof on my 2014 now.

I said I never drive bare ass to seat, but I sure hope this man had seat covers for the sake of resale.
