That is correct, I did ask that. And no one who has installed a K&N intake and then reinstalled the factory air box with a TRD filter has responded.

As previously stated I have a K&N in the truck now. I will put the factory box and factory TRD filter back in tomorrow minus the carbon filter and make a direct comparison over the same distance at the same speed with the same load tomorrow.

In that example, there is more air then you need all around you, it can't be used by you because you're already breathing in as much as you can use. It's there but you can't use it, you are already at peak efficiency.

I once met Bigfoot so all of your guys arguments are invalid! Including taking in more air for running

I have a filter in my lungs, called mucus. Would I see a performance gain if I removed it?

That was a simple example and nothing more.

Y'all could have said, No or abstained from comment in response to the opening post of this thread.

Think the second post as a "no" it wont help with performance.
    The rest is just fluff.
    Edit; it was post #4.

    Where's my cake?

Oh and for the record, I had the k&n on my 07... I felt more power gains from my 90k tune up... makes a lot of noise, but that was about it... sold it, used the money towards exhaust on my 15 and it sounds much better than the stupid intake ever did! And no, neither gave much power difference, nothing hugely noticeable at least.

    Now on with the :crapstorm:

Sweet. I'm still a couple months away from mine.

Has anyone compared the airaid to the TRD box? The accessory department where I am told me it comes with a TRD intake.

My truck is a 2015 TRD Pro. It comes with the TRD exhaust and TRD filter. I am interested in increasing efficiency and am less concerned with noise from the intake. I believe I had stated that at least half a dozen times in this thread.

So the answer is, No, you have not used both intakes and made a direct comparison.

    Good to know.

I stated what the dealer said and you turned that into I'm clueless. Interesting.

I also stated I was a couple/few months out from my supercharger. I never said I didn't have a deposit on one and that it wasn't waiting until the balance is paid.

    Thanks for the comment.
