    Welcome back!

There has to be reasons you sold the Tundra other than money

You have 4 2009 vehicles (all awesome rides) and supercharge all of your trucks.

After reading what you've said so far... I think its funny that dad has to have the bigger truck than son! LOL. All I can say is that I am impressed with the toys and especially the Taco! Nice work.

This next mod was an experiment in red anodizing the emblems. This was time consuming but so far, it has turned out good, especially when the sun hits it. Missing is the supercharged chrome lettering which hasnt arrived yet. The plate is a leftover from the Tundra. I havent gotten around to changing it yet but I have this idea and I know I can get it past NYSDMV like I did with my Jeep plate "TIH2" which spells a 4 letter word when seen thru your rear view mirror. I was thinking of this one: 3IOH22AU which you would get the meaning looking thru your rear view mirror too, lol. Its available, according the NYSMV

I was trying a different TRD decal on the side of the truck, but I think I would perfer it in red also. I just might change it to red.

The reason why I sold the Tundra was that I missed my Tacoma. Dont get me wrong, the Tundra is a a great truck also, but it doesnt have the Tacoma mystique so to speak if ya know what I mean. The Tacoma has roots that go back to the late 60's and that says it all right there. I also belong to a Solstice/Sky forum which is mostly made up of older generation people who do exactly what we do here, and love their cars as much as we love the Tacoma. My Solstice GXP is a rare car today, made only 1 year before shutting down production of only 1152. That is not why I bought it though. True its a instant collectible, but its the car itself, the design, the way it drives (like a Triumph or MG) noisy as all get out, uncomfortable, but handles like a real roadster. Each of my cars/trucks have a purpose here, whether its to boost my ego (The Challenger) to get me thru a snowstorm (the Tacoma) or just to bring back some good memories (the Solstice) on a open winding road around the lake here.

Nice rides. I have a question for you... did you actually anodize the emblems? I thought they were just made of plastic? Correct me if i'm wrong. It looks great, i might have to copy you muahahhaha.

I used a red anodized paint. Had to lightly sand the emblems first, and then painted them. The first one I did, did not come out right and chipped too easy. I also made the mistake of doing it on a rainy day which caused the paint to cloud up.
So far, no chips or flaking off. Took it thru a high pressure car wash and they are still good. We shall see what happens during the winter.

Let me know if your going to do this and I will give you more detailed instructions and what paint to avoid buying.

I love all of your vehicles! Dad has a TR3, TR10, and a '32 Morgan, so I definitely understand the mystique factor!

I'll settle for a Morgan, any year, anytime! That is a true sports car. Never realized how much wood is in that car until I worked on one. A new Morgan is over $175,000 and 2 year wait for it.

Sold the Jeep, and found this, rare in this part of NY.
2010 Tundra reg cab 4x4 5.7L. I did a 3" lift with Procomp 18" wheels and 305/60/18 extreme A/T tires. A.R.E. lid. HID lamps, Tundra Limited grill, xm shark antenna installed on lid. This is the fraternal twin to my sons 09 reg cab. I still have the 09 dbl cab Tacoma which is my daily driver.
