Depends, are you going to be doing a steel or aluminium bumper? Is it going to be a plate or hybrid? Are you going to be running a winch or not?

In a word, yes. Depending on your choices you are likely to lose some ride height.

Yes. we added some weights to my front tow hooks to see what would happen if I added a bumper and winch to my 2013 Baja AC. It sagged, but we weren't able to drive it around to see how it felt. I'm now thinking about an aluminum bumper (AllPro, etc.) to keep the weight as close to neutral as possible. I wouldn't use a winch too much, but when you need one you need one. Rather than hang it permanently on the front end I'm thinking about adding a receiver to whatever front bumper I get, and then using a receiver mount for a winch that can be kept near the front of the bed when off road, and in my garage when mall crawling. I'd add 12 volt quick connects at both ends of the truck to make it usable from either end, and a removable receiver somewhere in the bed to secure it - not sure how yet.

No winch. I want a tube type with just skid plates. I have 33s on my truck now and don't rub. I am scared it will rub with the bumper.

I don't mean to jack your thread, but what tires are you running? Is your Baja otherwise stock - wheels, rear springs, etc?

Looks great man! I think a aluminium all pro or aluminium pelfreybilt bumper would go great! Also look into a Brute force fab hybrid, its steel but still pretty light for a bumper. All of which you could probably get away with keeping the stock suspension.

    Yes.

If you put a steel plate bumper on it; or put any bumper with a winch on it, you will find yourself re-doing the front end to maintain your same ride and ride height.

I have a tube bumper on stock suspension, tires and rims. It weighs around 60ish lbs and I don't have any issues.

    Hey,
Did you ever end up getting the bumper on? I'm looking at a Baja that to me, seems stock, and has a 200lb steel bumper with winch (FabFour).

    Just wondering your thoughts...
