You build has me seriously looking at the 887's. Only problem I have is the extra weight of my ARB bumper. I gave ARB a call and they agreed that 887 would be good (softer than my 886's) but I would need spacers to bring the front back up because of the extra weight.

Stock UCA? I want to fit 285's with as little rubbing as possible. I think doing 887s for the full 3" with spacers on top of that should be the best bet but I'll definitely need to get new UCA's. Cant believe you still have your front flaps on!

Yea I really like the ride of the 887's, I would definitely agree on the added spacers, I may have to do the same. I can let you know how much sag I get from my Demello when it comes in, but then again ARB is quite a bit heavier. Not to mention an addition of a winch if your wanting to do that or already have one.

No, I'm running Light Racing UCA's, changed them out when I went to the 887's. I do rub a slight bit on the front fender plastic, but I just need to get in there and heat it and mold it out of the way. I actually put the 285's on before my full lift, I was only running 5100's at 1.75" in the front and had the same minimal rubbing.
And haha yea.... they are still on.... we cut the front flaps down quite a bit, but with the amount of gravel on the roads here in Colorado, even with them on, it still tears apart the paint on the rock sliders and the bottom rocker panels. So I figure to leave them on for now even though I can't stand them.

I wish there was a good solution to prevent rocks tearing the paint apart without big mudflaps. My paint looks like crap behind my wheels.
My 887s are riding great, but I ended up going with OME shocks as well. Seemed like it kept me close to 3 inches up front. Now I want to ditch my crappy AAL and upgrade rear shocks and add a progressive leaf pack

I had already resigned to losing my mudflaps and putting on that 3M scotchguard paint protector film. I've heard nothing but great things about that stuff, but larger gravel rocks might be too much for it. It's so fascinating how variances there are with people putting in 33's and trimming/chopping. At least we're running the same wheels-spacers suck. But there's still so much at play that contributes to the tire fitment or lack thereof.

Yea I was debating the clear film.. I will have to look into it, then I will just have to figure out something for my rock rails to keep them from getting chipped and rusting.. and yea I know exactly what your saying. We were afraid of having all sorts of issues with the 285s.. I didnt want to cut anything yet on the brand new truck, thankfully we got lucky. But yea I think the wheels have alot to do with it. The only rubbing we have ever had, before and after lift, was the plastic inner fender.

Thanks for sharing, I really don't mind trimming whatever in the front-just worthless plastic to me. Weight reduction bro!! Someone on here has a solid write up about the 3M application and has had great results. I think tacos look so much better without those HUGE front flaps anyways.

Yea I'm definitely looking into it, Thanks for the info! I'm thinking about getting that non-skid tape for my sliders to put in the areas that get hit pretty bad. I don't mind scratches and all on them, that's what they are for, but the constant rust from the road chips is killing me.

so I should be fine with 887/5100 running 265/75/17, if I change the OEM springs with 887's will this bring in to play the dreaded driver lean I read about? I currently have 5100's set at 1.75 with OME Dakar Leafs (just added). So I was going to add 887's to boost front end. (I may leave well enough alone)

Honestly, every truck is different and I have yet to find any lean on my truck. With a full tank of gas and nothing in the cab, things were dead even. If the truck leans 1/4" or 1/2 inches to one side whoop de do, but thats just my $.02. I dont think swapping out factory coils with 887s will create a driver lean you're asking about. Just put a 1/4" top plate spacer on top of the left coil assembly and be done with it if it's really scaring you-thats a very common way to address it. I'd get some aftermarket UCA's with the 887s though, regardless if you're gonna put a top plate spacer in.

IMO It's not really noticeable unless there is a full tank of gas and a fat ass in the driver seat lol

Has anyone tried these with ARB yet? I have one and I am running 5100s and Eibachs set on the second clip and I am getting a lot of rake. Plus it rides pretty rough.

That's pretty well known, with some threads about it. No one has had problems with it from what I've seen.

If you're running 5100s with stock coils and the 5100 set to 1.75 should I get aftermarket UCA?

You'll be able to get alignment back to factory specs with your stock UCA
