This has been my understanding for years, I think people who have issues with the parking brake freezing are people who only occasionally use it. If you use it on a regular basis it stays adjusted and working. I've lived in RI and MA for the past 12 years and I used my parking brake every single time, whether on a hill or not. My 01 manual trans and my auto 09 have never had any issues for all those years.

Having said that, I don't give a flying f*&k what anybody else does, so I don't really understand what all the butt hurt is going on here...

I agree, I had the parking brake adjusted. Did not correct the issue. I even adjusted them, and it did not correct the issue. The previous owner, also had them adjusted under warranty multiple times with it never operating properly. <-- Just one of the reasons I got rid of the Tundra.

Another reason was the bed rust recall that they would not cover, and I was not notified of.
Lastly there was something wrong with the front end height side to side, OEM struts and coils, the left side always sat 1" lower than the right.

I liked a lot of the uses of the truck, but no longer had a NEED for a full size. [ I know these last statements were a little off topic]

had one this morning in a mazda 3 riding my ass so close I could not see her headlights...

I flashed my rear ambers as that usually gets the point across.. this women flips me off and honks.. LOL

So I just gradually slowed to 65 as the cars in front of me were as well and she freaks the hell out and weaves over 3 lanes to try and go around.. she was back behind me 10 seconds later even more pissed off.. I was laughing so hard.

Don't put it in reverse. That will wear our your back up light switch on the transmission.

Same thing here! Just did mine last week. Haha. Oops. We live and learn. Easy part to change but not worth the trouble if you can avoid it.

I always use the handbrake and usually put my vehicle in 1st or 2nd gear.

This part about the e brake warping from trapped heat is just not true at all. Especially since your front brakes do most of the braking. If this was a race car that was out on the track for an hour, maybe. Even then the rear brakes don't get as hot as the fronts.
