Has anyone come up with the solution to the passenger seat rattle on newer Tacomas? I've tapped away trying to figure where its coming from and cannot determine whether its inside the seat or one of the plastic pieces. Its definitely not the headrest as some have indicated. It makes noise headrest removed or not.

I asked a fellow Tacoma owner/mechanic at the local dealer while BSing about common quarks and he used some rubber rings like thin bushings on the mounting bolts and it seemed to help compared to mine. Not sure where he got them. Mine shakes really bad on the highway. I just accepted the fact my truck makes odd noisss that I will never be able to find

Mines good on main roads, but I have to drive gravel to and from home and to lots of job sites. That's when it really rears its ugly head!

Yeah, mines almost like its not all tightened down. I went through and checked all bolts and they are all tight. Maybe just a design flaw that allows to big of a tolerance for mounting brackets and hardware. Just character I suppose

Belt one of these into the passenger street. Not only will it cure the rattle but you'll be able to take advantage of the HOV lane.

Ah man I hope mine does not pick up a rattle. I have 800 miles on it so far and nothing. Now if I could get a handle on the windows fogging up and taking forever to clear.......

I have the rattle too...I have the fold flat seat on the passenger side....I think the noise has to do with that.
