Call us either way. We'll be stocking the specific model just as soon as they land on US soil.

Yessir, count on it. Safari will have really screwed up if they managed to show a product at SEMA and still haven't dropped the product on the market a year later!

Would you be able to do a group buy if people pre-order?

I don't see the need for water crossings. If you actually got water up that high on the hood it WILL fill the cab. And all the power wiring in these trucks run along the floor boards and door frames.

I'm interested for the primary purpose of dust avoidance...do a bit of research and you'll discover that dust mitigation is as much or more of the reason for snorkels. Some folks use them for fording, but it takes further modification to make a Taco "creek ready."

I did read that awfull report on Airflow but luckly I have not experienced any of what was reported, I have had it on the truck for about a year without putting any sort of dressing on it I just wash it and leave it I don't worry about getting water in the CAI everytime I checked the filter was dry, the snorkel is working just fine. So far so good.

Sure, but we won't have any pricing available to base a group buy on until they have models en route to the US. There is still no firm ETA there.

I beg to differ, even in arid Utah there are places where your trip can be turned around if you can't ford a moderate crossing. Beyond water you have cleaner, cooler air. Installing the snorkel isn't the last and only step of water-proofing your truck, my thoughts here: http://www.tctmagazine.net/february-2011/february-2011-volume-1-issue-1

    Say the word :D

How many people are interested in a group buy of the Cruiser Outfitter snorkel? I count 3-4 people interested and I may be able to get another one locally.

Very timely, I just spent some time today with ARB, their Tacoma & the new 2nd Gen Tacoma snorkel.

The all-new snorkel is going to be significantly "wider" (+25mm) than the early prototype (I posted my pictures of that early prototype model here) which was already a tad bit wider than our SS135MOD offering. Now, some are going to hate the wider width, some aren't going to care either way an some may actually embrace and love it.

Pictures of the NEW production model snorkel:

ARB USA now officially has these on order from Safari in Australia. Retail pricing is set at $553.00, of course as all things go you can expect to see dealers selling them at a price under retail. I can't really expand on that further until we see what the market bears but I anticipate we'll be retailing them at $525'ish per ARB guidelines of minimum advertised pricing. We don't expect to see a change in the SS135MOD pricing for the time being. We have our name on some of the first production models headed to the US but we don't expect to see them for several more months.

Thanks for sharing! I'm a bit surprised at their pricing, but I suppose all that extra material adds up! LOL

I'm stoked to order one when they start sailing towards the states from down under. Any word on the logic of the immense width of this snorkel?

Do you see any significant differences in performance from the modified version you offer. I actually like the sleeker look of the other one and I'm impatient.

Is anyone interested in a group buy of the cruiser outfitter modified one?
