    He's saying that the engine normally gets to 180s, but I'm not sure if the trans heats up at the same rate as the engine (assuming movement, obviously.) If it did then you can use the engine temp gauge to guess the trans temp gauge.

    It's also saying major differences aren't likely.
    I'll creep on his FB page and see what I can find.

    It's filled via the dipstick tube IIRC.

    That's how you check tranny oil. At least that's how we did it in the 2 maintenence shops I've worked in

    @pittim No other pictures, but the more I look the more it looks exactly like my T-case, the physical differences are most of the battle, electrical I can deal with easily.

    You also need to run through the gears (with foot on the brake) slowly a couple times after you've added the new fluid, then check the level.

    I changed the diffs, tranny, engine and transfer over to Amsoil. GL4 75-90 for the tranny and transfer case, 75-110 severe gear for the diffs and SS10-30 in the engine. I went with 10-30 instead of 5-30 because when it comes to the difference in Amsoil it's almost not even there from a cold flow standpoint and the closer the numbers are the less VII's they have to add.

    How are you going almost 80 at that RPM?

    Also, apparentally Toyota told me the wrong coolant on Saturday.....And, when I check my transmission dip stick with the engine hot, it reads the same as when I check it cool. Guess I need to add some fluid

    About 20 minutes. I went to the dealership to get another jug of coolant to find out that the other dealer sold me the wrong coolant on Saturday
