    NEVERMIND....... Nothing to read here.

I got's my SC in December 2014. Bought bought my truck in Apr 2014. My truck just broke the 8100 miles on the odo. I'm sure my truck has the oiled stock SC air filter. Is it the best option? Is there better? How often to clean/oil the filter due to my lowww mileage. Dealer has said last 2 oil changes it looks fine due to low mileage.

I'd rather just buy a good dry filter, so much easier etc. And I want to get a new filter because potato.

I also thank many of you SC folks for helping many folks get the SC as the parts race into the sunset, like the forever running 1st and 2nd gen Tacoma's. I'll keep mine till I die. Yea I'm old.

So stick with my Stock SC oiled filer and service it? Not sure what you mean. Get an non-EPA certified intake? And change it? Not happening in my life. I want what's best for stock usage legal. We's gotta clean the air. No, I'm not getting a damn Prius LOL.

Let me rephrase that, I'll quote from my original post:

I'd rather just buy a good dry filter, so much easier etc. And I want to get a new filter because potato.

Pro DRY S Media: This filter features a 3-layer progressive, to provide maximum flow with excellent filtration. The progressive layering of media allows the filter to flow at high levels even when dirty. The Pro DRY S non-oiled synthetic air filter requires no oils for cleaning for maximum convenience.

Ah, thanks. That was much more effective than "fuck you, read the damn link which says oiled filter...."

Maybe that was why I asked the question, because I couldn't figure out why the description talked about the oiled version....

Yup, weird they don't have the whole page change every time you select a different filter.

What's the lifespan on that Pro dry filter? For $100 USD I hope it lasts a while. Unfortunately it doesn't look like it has more surface area than the stock filter, which means it probably gunks up just as fast before needing a clean. I'd guess everytime you clean it, it loses some filtering capacity too...
