So I was finally able to put some rounds down range in the G43, G17NIBX and Sp101

The 17 is a freaking tack driver and smoother than astroglide on a sheet of glass

    The SP101 is an SP101...perfect

the G43 however, Shoots slightly low and to the left with 115gr Blazer Brass...sights LOOK correct...pretty disappointing as this is the ONLY Glock I've ever had an issue shooting out of the box...hoping it's an easy fix...picked up 150 rounds of 147gr 9mm today as well after shooting to try as I've been told the G43 prefers that weight

    We'll see

So here's what 5 rounds of Federal Premium 12 Ga 00 buck with the flite-control wad looks like from 7 yards. Not really any separation between the wad and the shot except for one flyer pellet looks like (though the hole looks too small to be 00 buck - maybe a manufacturing defect or something). No wonder over-penetration is an issue with buck. But it'll put anything down hard at 7 yards, that's for sure.

That stuff patterns really well in my 18" cylinder bore Mossberg 500. Speaking of which I need to dust that thing off. I haven't shot it in a long ass time.

So a guy local to me has a ak47 for sale. I just can't tell if it's really a good deal or not so figured I'd see what you guys thought.

Arsenal 107 slr with triangle stock
    3 circle 10 mags
    3 bakelite mags
    Krebs trigger retaining plate
    Factory 10 rounder
    Krebs safety selector
    Magpul ak+ grip
700 rounds of ammo (doesn't say brand)
    Ak mag loader.

    He is asking 1400 firm.

The arsenal 107 slr is the ak I've been looking for. Just pricing it out in my head not sure how good of a deal this deal is

Rifle itself is around 1k new. mags 300 new. ammo is 25c a round, so less than 200. So brand new you could buy it all for probably around 1600.

If you absolutely want a Arsenal and want bakelite/circle 10s, I'd say it isn't a "bad" deal.

But I also run $15 milsurp and crapco mags that work fine in my saiga.

You can get an already converted Saiga for $700 right now at Classic.
    https://www.classicfirearms.com/russian-saiga-ak-variant-model-iz132l

$700 for the rifle, a few milsurp mags, and a case of wolf for about $1000. Add foreend and other little stuff later if ya want it.

I kinda regretted not getting one of the fancy BFG AK slings when they first came out. Well, when I recently got an email saying they found 33 more of them (500 made), I jumped on it. Sold out the next day.
You had to buy the combo to get it, the AK sling and a regular black Vickers sling. The black sling will someday go on an M-16A4 clone whenever I get around to it. Some years ago I came across an FN 20" barrel at a gunshow.

I tried out my new Warren Tactical carry sights on my newest G19 today. This is my Fourth set of these sights. A big improvement over the plastic dot in a bucket factory sights.i started out shooting a little low after having shot a VP9 for the past few months.

That's kind of where I was price wise and deal wise. It's not bad but nothing great. I already have 20 cheap surplus mags so the mags are meh to me. Ammo wise...it's ammo I don't reload for so more isn't a bad thing. One bonus would be no sales tax. Hmmmm choices

No way would I pay that for the triangle folder stock. Up to you on the deal of course, but if I was dropping $1400 on a fun fun today it would be a Tavor, or maybe an MPX+SBR stamp. There are just too many AKs on the market to think about $1400. I built up a nuts Saiga conversion and by the end I traded it off for something different because it just didn't excite me anymore.

Itll be my only AK so thinking ill go with a nicer one right off the bat instead of the saiga route. And dont worry im just waiting for a facotry Sig MPX SBR :) The AK is just half for fun and half for investment. They aint getting cheaper.

I'd say Saigas come in just below Arsenals quality wise. They are after all brand new AKs that come out of the same factory the military rifles come out of, so from a collector's point I'd say they are at the top for that reason.

For the price/quality it's hard to beat a Saiga.

I paid $250 for my base gun then turned it into a side folder. Had maybe $600 in it total. Traded it for a pistol. It is pretty cool that a Saiga is a true, factory new AK barreled action built right along military Russian AKs. If you have Amazon Prime, there is a neat Russian documentary on the Russian AK factory.

I'll have to check that out. I'm up in the air about dumping my Saiga for an AR

I'm not into conceal carry pistols but the Sig P938 is pretty sweet for what it is. I like the fact it still has some weight to it despite being a sub compact conceal carry pistol. To me hands down better than the Luger LC9, which is the other pistol I considered. How serious of a buyer are you?

    Saiga is x39.

As far as AR, I'm pretty set on a mid length gas system. Probably go with a PSA complete lower and an aero complete upper, either the 556 or wylde (+$25) BCG and ch would put me right around $800. Then throw some buis and a pa red dot on top.
