We have a new thing where you pay a one-time percentage of the vehicle's worth (I think it's 10 or 13%...can't remember) and then it's just $20 each year after that. The initial fee sucks, but if you plan on keeping your truck for a while, it's worth it...it only sucks for people who buy and trade a lot. I think, when I got my 2003 a few months ago, I paid $700. Now, I only have to pay $20 a month as long as I own the truck, opposed to the old way where you had to pay like $120 a year.

Mine is a 2014 so that would be pricey for the first year I guess - can you choose or is it the "new way" only. I plan to run my truck into the ground but can't say if work will keep my in GA for more than 5 years

Yeah its a huge fee then its $20 every year or so. I transferred my title from my dad to me and it was like $180 or something stupid. It's a lot worse if it went to a different party. I'm pretty sure Travis still has his Oregon plate. He's got like 2 years paid off on it or something ha

Any wheel/tire shop suggestions south of Atlanta? I'm in the Newnan/Sharpsburg area.

Anytime I've ever priced out tires, Discount Tire has always been the cheapest and their customer service at the McDonough location is top-notch. You get free balance and rotations for the life of your tires. I also have a friend who owns the Tire South in Conyers and it's a good place, too, especially if you're looking for something more off-road

Yeah, I've had experience with the Discount Tire in PTC but their wheel selections are rough. I'll take a look at Tire South to see what they have. Thanks for the info.

Dealer wanted 21,500 for the 2009 TRD Off Road 4x4 with 90k miles so I walked. The manager wouldn't even consider anything under 21k. I don't understand how they think they're gonna get 21,500 with the KBB says 18,000.
