hopefully not into a parked car or ditch.

If you hammer the gas with all that power and no traction you will poop a little. :burnrubber::crapstorm::drevil:

You can get a forged crank out of a 92-93 3vzfe camry or ES300 that will drop right in. Prob cost you $50-100 bucks from a scrapper.
If your goals are only 300hp, don't touch the engine at all, and get a CX racing turbo kit, and a good standalone EMS with bigger injectors, fuel pump, etc. Stock 5vz's are safe up to 350-375rwhp.

Check my sig for my build.

First off i don't trust that kit. Second i wanna rev to the moon. (hence the forged pistons) The reason to do that is the engine is at 168k and it wasn't takin real good care of its whole life so it needs a bit of love and care (a rebuild)...............................................aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnndd 300rwhp
But in all seriousness i forgot about the forged crank in that other engine... definitely gonna look into that.

When I was 16 I had similar ideas.

Would be entertaining to see this idea become a reality. Mine didn't.

That said.. I never had 7k to burn at 16. Do you?

Well yes sort of. My plan is to trickle buy everything as I see fit. However I can't begin this project until i buy a second vehicle (preferably a older taco with a 22re) to use for work.

Sounds like you think the 5VZ can be like a honda motor.. high rpm's are not what the motor is for.

Now don't let me say anything incorrect but if i remember correctly the 5VZ is overbore and understroke meaning the bore is bigger than the stroke. Isnt that basically the formula for a high revving engine? (that and many other things) And its not like ill be hammering it at 6000+ all the time, i just want it to be cabable

the power band is well under 5k on the 5VZ.. however on a honda thats where the power gets good. my VTEC kicks in at 6k on my acura. and my old 91 civic si would routinely rev to 8k no problem.

    5VZ-FE[edit]
The 5VZ-FE is a 3.4 L (3378 cc) engine which replaced the 3VZ-E. Bore is up to 93.5 mm (3.68 in) and stroke is 82.0 mm (3.23 in) while the compression ratio stays the same as the 3VZ-FE at 9.6:1. Output is 190 hp (142 kW) at 4800 rpm with 220 lb·ft (298 Nm) of torque at 3600 rpm. It has a cast iron engine block, and aluminum DOHC cylinder heads. The 5VZ-FE uses sequential multi-port fuel injection, has four valves per cylinder with shim-over-bucket tappets and features large cast connecting rods, one-piece cast camshafts, and a cast aluminum intake manifold. This engine also features an oil cooler and a wasted spark ignition system with three coils.

    Camshafts are belt-driven. The 5VZ-FE is a non-interference engine.
