Well it became official today. No more first gen Tacoma for me, bank won't do a loan for anything pre 2005/over 100k miles.
Someday I will get another 1st gen..:(

Switching to a Subaru BRZ/scion FRS. Anyone have any experience with these cars/does it matter which one I go with?

I'm in the search for parts to convert it. I also use the truck off-road and on trails so it's not mall crawler

What about a personal loan instead of an auto loan? I've heard of people going that route and it working fine.

Really .... I just thought it was primarily a rolling advertisement for your retrofit business. :D

Interesting.. I think I'm just going to wait till I get a garage to get a new Tacoma. Thanks bro!

I don't really have any credit at all, never owned a credit card. I will get another Tacoma someday.

    Bummer.

Ask @m3bassman and @Konaborne. I think they both have experience with those cars.

Is this country great or what? A person who can't afford a $9,000 vehicle, can afford a $15,000 vehicle. o_O

While I see what you mean, my understanding is there is a reliability/sale value issue on older cars, which is somewhat rational when you look at it from the banks viewpoint.

Banks are always in it to make profit. That's just how the monetary system works despite the economic vortex we have always been in.

*poof* look we printed more $$$ !
