    YES!!
How did you install them? Did you use any type of bracket or just bolted them straight to the doors? Did you use a speaker harness or wired it straight to the speaker? I used the speaker adapters from *********.com and they work like a charm along with my Alpine 2 ways.

I'll bet the magnets on the new ones are bigger than the stock ones and they touch the outer skins

ok i ordered the custom brackets from taco tunes and they gave me both front instead of rear and fronts. so i used the two fronts and in the back i used the factory speaker but i riped everything out of it and screwed my new 6.5 into it. it goes right in and it has a lip i can screw the new speaker on so i will hold. i spliced all my connection with splices. i am an electrician so im good with wires. the magnets are signifinately larger so thm hitting the doors is a big possibility. i will have to take the skins off and play them at full volume to find out.

Be sure the magnets haven't left an imprint to the outside skin:eek:

lol the magnets though are inside the door, i dont know what you mean by magnets leaving prints on the door panels. speakers dont sound too great, im thinking i might need to run an aftermarket stereo for them to sound good. becasue it seems as though i had more bass stock :mad::mad:

you might want to check the wiring on your speakers too, When i got my subs installed, they sounded horrible, ratttled and the stock speakers had more bass I was pretty dissapointed. Turns out the installer had one of the speakers wired opposite or something and when switched around the sound completely changed and everything sounds perfect. Just thought you should know.

not sure how much room you have behind the magnets but if they are protruding enough they can actually contact the inside of the outer door panel (the one everybody sees with paint on it:D)

Since you went from a 6x9 to a 6.5 up front you will lose some bass and you may also be suffering from the "non defeatable processing" in the factory headunit. Did you use any sound deadening? Did you seal the back wave from the front wave? Are you sure the speaker fits properly in the baffle ie make sure you did not have to force it in the hole thereby twisting the basket etc? Do you have a high pass filter on the speakers? (if not they could "bottom out") BTW, I can fit an 8" sub in the front doors of the newer trucks :D so I seriously doubt the magnet of a 6.5 is hitting the outer door skin. ;) It could possibly be hitting the window track or something else may be rattling inside the door however my guess is that one or more of the above is causing your problem. :)

i actually didnt install 6.5 in fronts. i did 6x9 in the front and 6.5 in the rears. when i turn it way up the bass almost completly runs away, but when i turn it down the bass comes back kinda lol

That's due to the "bass limiter" processing built into the headunit.

Just wanted to mention that positive to positive and negative to negative does not necessarily mean the speaker wires are connected properly for your particular situation. To get the proper "acoustic polarity" for your specific vehicle sometimes means you will actually have one or more speakers connected positive to negative/negative to positive (in my truck the drivers side midrange needed to be connected "backwards" in order to get a "coherent" stage and imaging). :)
