    You just need a wider stance to compensate. Tall, skinny and tucked is a bad look and I would guess really unstable

    Yeah that's steep. I'd say sub $500 is a much better number. Somewhere around $400 for the sliders and $50-$60 to burn them on the truck. Of coarse they could do it cheaper then that but I'd say thats a fair profit margin. Like you said, a $600 number is a way to say "We don't really wanna do this so if you want it done then you're gonna pay for it." And after you drive off after install the shop guys just sit and shake their heads and say "Yeah we fucked him. What an idiot."

    It's a terrible family values philosophy but it's really a great business one. The little guy just doesnt do anything for them so why waste their time. Small fucking potatoes!! Haha

    Nope still quite stable. Plus there are several articles out there showing the off-road benefits of 255/85r16 over 285/75r16 or same setup on 17s. Been running my skinnier for well over a year now and the only way I'm changing them out is to go 35s. Like them 100 times better than I did 265 or 285.

    Im also not surprised by this. I saw on a jeep board where a guy was trying to commission Essentially to build his grand cherokee from stock to tons and 38's, Custom cage, bumpers, sliders, and suspension. Probably getting up to at least the $10k mark and they still wouldn't give him the time of day. Got strung along for like 6 months before taking it to another shop

    Yeah there's some great evidence that my inclination on them is correct. It's just part of the business I guess. Me personally I would love to have anyone's business that was impressed enough to want me to build something for them.

    4k obo. And mod money for my bank account lol I've only been working part time, and that job just ended. Been doing extra days with the guard as much as they'll let me, but they've yet to pay me. They currently owe me over 3k dollars. Things are getting tight so the toy has to go. Interviewing for a full time job next Wednesday though

    Some guy from rough country came through work today and tried to talk me into a 6" lift and I told him no, long dialogue going back and forth about rough country products for my truck and my current setup later, he told me he'd get me 25% off any light bar I wanted in exchange for some pictures of my truck with the bar installed for their social media pages and stuff. Probably gonna take him up on it for a 20"
