    Bone Stock.Why mess with perfection?Except...
2015 equal 4.0 litre engine. The last year Toyota put that engine in a Tacoma. That could mean a lot to some buyers. I hope the 2015 will hold it's value as well as Tacoma's have in the past. Also, I'm sure the 2016 will be a fine truck, and hold it's value well.
Hopefully, there won't be a lot of bugs to be worked out. Still, many people simply will not buy the first model year of a vehicle. We shall see.

I agreed with the Dealer last week for a 2015 Silver Access Cab 4x4 TRD 'OR' 6 speed, only problem now is they are having trouble getting one. Trade value was great on my 2000 as well as my 2008.

    Too few to list.
Try buyatoyota.com to see if the truck configuration you are looking for is in your area. I do know it searches with a radius as availability varies with the zip code. There's not a lot of 6 speeds available to begin with. When I got my 6 speed back in 2009, there was only 2 available in my configuration within a 200 mile radius.

Usually when a dealership is trying to locate one for you, they would have to do a dealer trade and locally its not a problem as they can just drive a truck out and have it driven back in. The farther it is, the more it cost as now they would have to transport. It's almost always better to buy from a stocking dealership.

3 trucks that matches my wants showed up on the Dealers computer and they were all about 350 miles away, maybe those 3 dealers don't wanna give up those trucks since they won't get back to my dealer.

Not much if they raise prices.....

I bought a 15 to get the color and options I wanted before they were gone in case I don't like the 16. IF I would have waited, I may not have been able to locate a White TRD Sport with options. If I like the 16 and the spread is $5000 or less, I will sell mine and buy a 16. Mine already has a standing "first right of refusal" from a member here who wants a low mileage ( Less than 2000 as of now) 15 white Sport if I decide I want the 16.

Yep, probably go back to full side when not commuting 60 miles round trip. May get a TT and bigger boat.

Not even joking I found a Certified 2013 Tacoma DCSB TRD Sport 4x4 V6 w/ 40k miles on Craigslist yesterday that was for sale by Dealer for $200.00 MORE than a brand new 2015 Tacoma DCSB TRD Off-Road 4x4 V6at my local dealer brand new on the lot.

My truck used is very close to my new purchase price. With the looks of the 3rd gen I expect this value to increase.

I failed to mention both of my examples were 4x4 V6 models. Does make a difference I suppose. And the dealer's was Certified.
