Changed my fuel filter today! Couple great write ups on here. Will be changing the differential oil this weekend.

Really loving the information and tutorials on TW, saving my $'s and my truck i.e. can't afford to pay mechanics for preventative maintenance!

Hmm I might take you up on that, thanks bro!!

Part of it is my parents said they would throw down 5k if I didn't get another Tacoma hahah.. That's why I'm kind of torn between the two, get a Tacoma with a 10-14k loan or get an FR-S with 5k down and a 15k loan.

It's a risk management. The newer vehicle is much more likely to be around for the life of the loan. If a vehicle dies its borrower is unlikely to continue to make payments. On top of that, as Presto said, he doesn't have a credit history. So from the banks vantage point he is an unknown variable. At least that's what I think. Either way it's pretty lame.

I have never even really thought about a snorkel... So in theory how deep can you go?

Not so much about going deeper as having a little extra insurance on normal crossings. Also pulls clean cool air on dusty mountain roads.

I installed a new 2 core radiator today. Also added some redline water wetter to the mix. Not sure if it actually works but my temps are hovering around 190*.

Different from the OEM radiator? My understanding is that 86-88C (190F) is average for most cars.

I got a clock! Note that even if your truck didnt come with one, the wiring is already in place.

You have a clock on your head unit. Why would you want the stock one that you can barely see?

I wonder if mine has that wiring, my head unit has no clock.

The chassis harness for these trucks are all the same. I even found plugs for 4wd equipment when mine is a Prerunner.

The second pic is my dash panel without the clock insert, there is just a holder for the wire.
