    :jerkoff:

*sigh* there is nothing wrong with plastidip... it holds up just as well, if not better than paint, since its rubberized.

I have had plastidip on my truck for years.. and no issues. A buddy at work dipped his taco wheels at least 6 months ago.. zero issues. no peeling, fading, etc.

all this hate on plastidip cracks me up.. to advise against it is just ridiculous.

Anyone have a recommendation on a dealer to do some diagnostics? My check engine light is coming on because of evap stuff. I have already swapped out the gas cap.

I feel like a lot of people who hate on plastidip, are the people who spent way too much money on their paint job or they can't spray paint for shit.

Plastidip is great though. Buddy of mine just plasti dipped the whole bottom of his bay liner boat and it's held up for 2 lake trips so far.

Sure did. Had to drive through that shit all the way down oracle from Catalina and then all the way on I10 to Benson. It's been a night of craziness.

Pumping gas at the miracle mile Circle K, pouring rain, thunder lightening super bad, and then 3 gun shots within a block away and I can hear the ricochets go over the gas station. So that was cool.

Then I came in too hot getting onto I10 via miracle mile and got sideways and drifted onto the on ramp because poor city planning didn't think of drainage ditches for the the new over pass and there's a ton of water.

Finally made it home in Benson and it's storming hella bad again.

Eh, I like plasti dip, but I wouldnt do my wheels again. They held up just fine for 2 years, but they got discolored by brake dust quite a bit. They started out matte black and then eventually turned brown, and no amount of scrubbing would bring them back.

Dipmycar.com sells a spray on cleaner that you spray, let it sit for 5 minutes, then pressure wash off. My wheels came out like they were freshly plastidipped.

    https://www.dipyourcar.com/brake-dust-professional.html?gclid=CLihi_nzoscCFViRfgodIPIBdQ

But the cleaner costs like $25 and smells like sulphar and rotten eggs.

Id advise against it over and over IF you plan to wheel your truck every other weekend and don't have a garage to keep the sun off it. Plastidip is only good for low traffic areas out of the sun, interior parts to be specific. Like @iJonny said tho, do it the right way and just fork out the extra cash/effort to paint. Just my .02
