TRD supercharger availability update

I saw the thread on your install, but was pointing it out for others. I'm not sure if the dealer did it, or if it came that way, as I didn't pull the charger out of the box before it was installed. I didn't notice it till I was interested in the stealth pulley and looked closer at mine to see how it was installed. I can post a pic later.

Most of the paint is on the shaft and not the pulley. I bet it could be matched.

Just checked mine, has a blue paint mark on pulley and shaft.

 

Mine has orange.

 

So it is clearly installed at the factory and not at the dealer. I wonder why the different colors...

 

prob whatever pen they have handy. I'll just grab a blue one like that one and mark the URD one the same

 

When are you going to install? Im waiting to hear your opinion

 

I dunno, probably sometime next week when I've got some free time and can get some help from someone.

 

There's plenty of people that have commented about it, basically saying how the Supercharger really wakes up the Tacoma, and the 2.85 pulley really wakes up the Supercharger. I think I'll notice a bit of difference, with all of my mods I should feel more pull, hopefully.

 

Fuel pump?

 

I have the URD fuel pump upgrade sitting in the garage...I need to get around to installing that as well. Went with the 255 deutchworks. I'm still running SUPER rich...I actually just realized my AFR doesn't go below 10.0 and I flat line at 10.0 usually in 2nd/3rd full throttle, and then dipping down in the to the 10.1-10.5 range in 4th and 5th. Hoping the pulley will bring that up a hair, but who knows.

 

My Ultragauge enlightened me.

So I got 16 mpg on the way to work this am. Got 13 on the way home. What would boost do?

 

Make it go down more lol. Your MPG only suffers when you put your foot down. MPG was the same before your SC, it just got worse when you go into boost. Normal every day driving, keeping a light foot, youll see good MPGs still

On another note..

While cruising up YL Blvd, in OC, i pulled up next to some GMC Turbo Diesel that was stomping it light to light. Had the wife and kid in the back, but pulled up at the next light right next to him and just looked at the wife with pleading eyes...she rolled hers and said "just do it, ugh"....so i revved back and proceeded to race the guy a little. Hands down the WORST shifting Ive ever done, rev limiter for like a second on each gear. Not a smooth shift at all...still stayed ahead of him the entire time, and as soon as I got it into 3rd, i outpaced him easily...got to the next light pretty peacefully...dude pulled up ahead of me and proceeded to roll coal in the next lane to try to regain his manhood, so i popped over to the other lane and pulled ahead yet agaim, but I was laughing, even the wife was like "haha what a douche" at the black smoke he layed. When i looked over at him, he was laughing his ass off too, so all in all it was a win lol
