    As far as I can understand, the only difference in the various models (basic, plus, elite) is the the metal coating. Is that correct?

    Is the basic model with zinc coating going to rust over time or anything? I just don't see a huge benefit in buying the Plus or Elite model if that's the case. Someone enlighten me please. :)

    But actually though, it's super easy to rivet. You can buy the gun from home depot or lowes; spend a little or a lot, they all do the trick. Then just watch a video on youtube or something and take your time with it. You'll also want a punch I believe and you'll need a drill as well.

    I fixed my temp gauge yesterday by soldering one of the chips on the circuit board back on. Never soldered in my life; I just watched a youtube video and my dad gave some tips and an extra hand (someone had tried to solder it previously and did a real shitty job). Works great now, I know the temperature outside and my direction... :D
