What ever happened to car/truck photos with scantily clad women posing on the hoods? That always made any vehicle look good.

Your average 20-30 yr old truck guy is too busy rolling coal in some beat up dodge with his tow mirrors out while pulling that heavy ass ghost trailer.. Midsize trucks aren't cool to millennials livin' that "country lyfe".

-30 yr old driving a midsize truck. lol

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
they are definitely a fan of misleading advertising. .

"New boxed frame, first in a truck" or whatever, not like 79-2004 toyotas all had them.. just because most company's decided to use a c channel frame until recently, and now Toyota went backward in 2005 with the Tacoma does not make it new.

"Longest lasting truck" based off sales of the Silverado name since 1981 or whatever.

I can't even begin to think of how many blatantly terrible GM advertisement campaigns I have had to endure.

One specific commercial I remember them dropping a pallet of bricks in the bed, and cutting the video so the damage isn't shown.

I remember the qaudra steer truck campaign and remember being interested in it. I looked it up recently.. not only did the program die in a very short amount of time, they have problems and parts support was dismal. Now they are practically SOL if they want to keep one on the road.

It's working for GM. Big gains in all of their truck lines.

All truck manufacturers have macho BS advertising. Ford show their F-350 pulling a freight train. And they use "Military grade" aluminum. Really?, what the hell is that, and where is it used in the Military? Ram uses Sam Elliott's macho voice. Gm compares the Sierra to a Trident submarine. If I was running GM I would certainly go after the market leader Ford and try to instill doubt on the benefits of aluminum. Even if looks like GM is going with aluminum doors and hood on their next model. Aluminum for repairablity, most studies (except Ford's) show it costs more to repair.
And you can bet that if the twins diesel mileage exceeds 30mph Hwy. you'll hear GM say "best mileage pickup".

Have you seen, "Mad Men"? That shit is still going on.

Mad Men is my favorite show. :D

You bring up my biggest beef. GM appears to be ready to use aluminum on their next truck. Anyways, like you say, everyone does it. I just find GM does it the most.

Aluminum repair is more expensive because it hasn't been done much. TBH as aluminum takes over the cost will even out.

The term "Military grade" should be shunned. Many times that is lower than CIVILIAN grade haha.

To answer to question most truck body, aircraft, equipment in the military is heavily made of aluminum.

28 year old rocking the Tacoma right here :D.

I agree though, most of my "cowboy" buddies have chromed out Dodge Larames with stacks and the EGR delete so they can roll coal .

It won't be long till someone around here has a Colorado with stacks and an EGR delete.

I'm thinking $3,200 for 700 lbs is assinine. For that kind of money I would need a substantial increase in something besides the payment.

People will buy the Diesel Colorado because DEZUL, EEMPEEGEE's, FREIGHT TRAIN PERFORMANCE, and ROAL COAL.

Buying the Diesel Colorado will have nothing to do with making it work out better on paper financially or in the real world for towing for most people.

And since it has a duralax

    They can make jokes like...

"You can spend spend all day stroking and Cumming" "buy ill take her to the max"

While thier GM is waiting broken down, and the warranty dept is making excuses or they are in scrubbing their extensive recall list.

Nah, they won't even get to hang out in the GM service department after the warranty is revoked because of the EGR delete and chip to make the EGR delete work lol.

    Back to 3rd gen.

Anyone see the "crawl control" demo and the product mgr talk about rear disk brakes. Is "crawl control" going to be a competitive advantage? The video is not convincing, they use it to back up downhill.

BTW I don't think anyone has mentioned the number one reason why most farms around here stopped running light duty diesel trucks in field. Diesel engines tend to out weight a similar engine by at least a few hundred pounds. Get in the mud in a field, or soft mud on the trail, and the truck will nose dive.

It'll be a nice feature, but not an essential one. Crawl control also lets you concentrate on steering down a step hill in 4L rather than balancing both steering and throttle control.
