    Step 1

Give the lady your seed at the tire shop

    Step 2

    Use saved monies for trans

    Step 3

Fix the next thing that breaks

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
I'm not quitting yet... It could possibly be that the TV Cable came disconnected at the trans side. I'm not willing to throw in the towel yet but I would really like to avoid an expensive tow home from work...

Also for you uniformed folks... TV is Throttle Valve for the Transmission... it's what holds the gear when you bring up the RPMs. If it's stuck or disconnected it makes big problems like I have now. If I can't wrap it up over the next two days I'll have it towed home and drop the pan so I can dig into the transmission inners.

    Yes sir
My dad just had to replace his trans in his '97 F350. Shit's expensive. Now yesterday he smelt diesel, got out and it was just puking out so he's got another shitty fuel fuel "leak" problem. He said you could see a trail as he drove...........

The base I am on currently has a "No Maintenance Policy"... battery died??? Tow Truck. Flat tire??? Tow Truck.

I went back after most people left this afternoon and kind of slid under there using the FRS as a screen. Popped the hood only when necessary and then right back down to not let on that I was working on it. Dropping that pan at work isn't going to happen but I would try and swap this TV Cable if I need to all sneaky like...

Drive off the base in first (or reverse) then set up shop on the road side or nearest McDonald's.

Hahahaha we shall see. I'll keep with it over the next few days and then have it towed over the weekend if necessary so I can get a ride up there or whatever.

Seriously, this build has made more progress in 3 months than many make in years. Even with all the set backs and repairs. Truck looks awesome, when it's done it's gonna be all like...
