I work at Everret every so often. When the carrier is there theres usually a trip up there. If im ever up there on base Ill keep an eye for ya!!

 

Where you fellas getting alignments done around here?

 

Firestones lifetime alignment. Might not ALWAYS be the greatest, but better than paying out of pocket 2 times a year.

 

How much does that cost you guys?

 

I think I paid 150 for the lifetime alignment. So, after 2 alignments it has paid for itself.

 

Found a coupon too.

 

Make sure you tell them what specs you want... Such as max out this, zero this, etc. Otherwise they will just try to make it green and not what you need.

 

Dang thats tempting.. I've heard it really depends on which firestone place you go to, some are good some are bad.

I'm going to be taking my dakars off in the next couple of weeks to repaint them, do a couple things to try to fix the squeek and install my ubolt flip. Was thinking of adding the Dakar aal's while they are apart but not sure. I like how it rides so now but with the canopy, steel rear bumper and rtt thought it might help. But is it going to change the ride much? I read it'll add 3/4. More of lift but that depends on weight and all too.

So thoughts?

yeah I just did that and ran it for a couple of days before adding rear bumper. It didn't ride that much stiffer at all. Right now I have some rake when unloaded but when packed up for a trip it's perfectly level which is what I wanted. I think you'll be happy with it. Pretty easy job too. I just used two C-clamps and I only needed an extra pair of hands when reassembling the packs.

 

If it's no stiffer think I'll go ahead and do it then. That was my only worry is that it might be stiffer when unloaded.

 

I drove mine for a month or so before my rear bumper, I don't remember it being any stiffer. I'd do it if I were you

 

Im out for this weekend. Nobody has my bumpstop hex cap screws so I had to order them. Won't be here till next weekend. I don't wanna risk my fancy new coilovers.

 

It would be awesome to go out and do some wheeling this weekend and meet some of you guys but I have a feeling I will be stuck working whether I like it or not. It never fails that we get busy any time something cool I want to do comes up. Hope everyone has a good time though.

HOWEVER, after the wedding I am meeting Bobby @ CVT to pick up a free awning for winning his photo contest! Pretty stoked about that.

I have some new Icon suspension coming in the next few weeks... Reservoirs, CDC Valves, etc... So if you guys know anyone that wants/needs some recently rebuilt extended travel Icon shocks/coilovers, let me know.
