19.7 on my last fill up, with about 120 miles worth hauling a trailer that weighs around 500lbs. I drive about 60% hwy and 40% city.

According to my Scan Gauge I'm averaging about 17.5mpg. Do a lot of running down the hill to Sacramento so it gets like 22mpg going down but about 14-15 coming back up. Driving is mixed freeway and windy mtn. roads. Definitely does better on summer gas. Only about 4k on the truck as it is a "weekender".

I am getting around 18mpg with my 2014 DCSB Sport, the scan gauge helps. One thing that helped me get .5 mpg better was I checked my tire pressure it was 4psi below spec as delivered from dealer. These trucks are pretty heavy and the V6 likes the lower rolling resistance.

    Too shiney and new yet
2015 trd sport DCSB. 4500 miles and the worst average out of an entire tank has been 18.5. I've seen as high as 22.2 on a road trip. All my mileage is tracked via fuelly.

One can never have too many light bars.
Try throwing in different grades of gas. I average about a 17-18 miles a tank more running 91 which pays for itself.

2015 DCSB 2wd Sport with ~4700 miles. I'm not a crazy gas/brake/gas/brake driver but when CA freeway speeds allow I cruise at 75. Daily commute is on surface streets (versus being stuck in traffic on the freeway) and I have consistently seen 17mpg. We have a trip to AZ planned later next month and I'm looking forward to seeing what results from consistent freeway speeed.

Like other posters, I knew I was signing up for crappy mpg when I bought the truck. I track the mpgs mostly out of curiosity.

15-16 in mixed driving seems right. I'm lucky to get that with AC on and my heavy right foot. Best MPG's achieved on these trucks are from low RPM shifts and consistent speeds less than 70 mph.

It took 10,000 miles for my milage to peak. I talked to a new Tundra owner and he said the same thing, after 10,000 miles MPG's improved. Seems to be the common Toyota break in period. I went from around 16.5 mpg when new to around 19.5 now. I run 91 ethanol free whenever possible.

Scan Gauge is a serious help. I monitor my TPS and can average up to 25 on the trip home from work (35-55mph.) Most of the time I get about 19mpg avg on the tank.

Also, if you live in a hot climate and sit in your truck with it idling while running the air conditioner, like when you're talking on the phone, or eating lunch from a fast food joint, or checking something on your computer, you can expect slightly lower MPGs. Guess you can tell I'm in sales, and work out of my truck.

I get 19 MPG running around town. 21 highway. Run cheap cash only 87 gas. Also run the AC liberally its hot here (global warming). 15 - 16 mpg ... something is not right. Its as if you are driving in 4th, not Drive. Is there an over drive lockout on the Taco? I assume you running a Auto not a manual transmission? My truck is a bit heaver than stock. I have added ~175 lbs in winch, winch mount, bed cover, sound dampening.

I have a 2015 Taco DCLB 4X4 automatic with 1000 miles now. I have used 3 tanks of gas so far and gotten from 16.5 to 16.8 MPG. I get just above 300 miles per tank (90% stop-n-go/city driving) and put in around 18.5 gallons of Chevron 87 Octane. Unfortunately in the ridiculous state of Oregon they don't trust the citizens to pump their own gas so I don't get a consistent fill each time. In the long run it really doesn't matter but does impact tank to tank results. I was hoping to get better mileage and expect it to improve.

I am on my fourth tank now in my 2015 trd sprt DCLB 4x4.
I got 19 mpg for the first two tanks then 20 for the third. Not bad at all. I am at 2000 kilometers now. Thats about 1200 miles. Hope it improves more.

I just picked up a 2008 TRD Sport 4x4, 4.0 V6. I got just over 18mpg on my first tank of gas with almost constant stop-and-go commuting and the A/C on. Not sure what I will get on the highway.

Purchased my 2015 DCSB TRD Off-Road 4x4 on Saturday with a whopping 4 miles on it, Interstate and Hwy miles through my first tank, 60-80+ mph, 18.6 mpg at fill-up. Second is looking similar.

Ordered an AFE OE Direct Fit Air Filter to try and improve HP and mpg, before putting on a cold air intake and swapping on a MagnaFlow system. First things first.

Have to say, being a Jeep guy, my first Tacoma has not been disappointing, so far.

My '98 Wrangler got 16.5 mpg on an absolutely fantastic tank, with a K&N intake and opened exhaust. Elated to get another 2 mpg, without the mods yet.
