Just a side note I am 75 years old and find it difficult to crawl under my truck to do my own service. This is my first Tacoma and probably be the last vehicle I will buy so I bought it mostly for reliability. talked with dealer service writer when I took it in for lube and oil change. The truck was purchased used certified and I was assured by dealer that it had been completely serviced by them at 30k at 35k I was told that U joints were sealed and not serviceable.
After reading post on TW I started wondering so for shits and giggles I stopped at a Jiffy Lube and ask. They pulled the truck on the pit and allowed be to look low and behold 5 Zerks just as described in post. So much for dealer service. will probably use Jiffy lube in future unless its warranty or recall. Rant over just wish I could still do it myself.

    Too few to list.
The pre-runner has zero zerks. Only the 4x4 has the 5 zerks to lube (if I recall, 2 up front and 3 rear).

If you want accurate and reliable information on your truck, the dealership is the last place you should look. Tacomaworld is my bible on any questions or info about my truck. The owners Manuel is another accurate source of information. The service and sales department of your Toyota dealership is your primary source of MIS-information.
