Hello, been around Toyota's and Offroading since the 90's. But I'm new to this site. I'm located in Iowa and hate mud or should I say cleaning it after muddin', so not much wheelin' for me around here. I have been to Moab a half dozen times and frequent Colorado yearly. Also go down to Arkansas occasionally. More into the exploring and scenic type wheelin' but I do enjoy a challenge every once in awhile. I just bought my 2005 D-cab last march and I'm gonna take it slow with this build really think it through and get what I really want for it.

    Previous 4x4 vehicles have been,1975 Jeep grand cherokee 2-door, 2000 2.7 x-Cab Sr5 taco, 1999 3.4 TRD X-Cab Tacoma, 2001 3.4 SR5 D-Cab (Never should have sold it!) 2005 TJ Rubicon, 2009 2.7 SR5 Reg. (Why?) current 2005 4.0 D-cab SR5 6-speed LSD.

My Brother had a 72' FJ55 with a 327 vette engine when I was in high school, he lived out in L.A. and I would visit him on spring breaks and we went out to the desert a few times. That and having a Honda ATC 110 3-wheeler when I was younger is surely where I got my Offroad bug.

My Brother offerd me the FJ55 if I came and got it around 1999 but by then he was in South Carolina and I was broke at that time, so i couldn't afford to Fly down there from Iowa and drive it back. If I could only go back in time I would have tried harder!!!
