    Hi All,
My 2015 access cab is turning into a rattle trap after only 800 miles. One problem is the A C doors seem to have loosened up causing creaking noises. I am planning on adjusting the top and bottom strikers so the doors will close tighter against the frame. The top striker (loop) has a piece of plastic trim around it held on by two screws. After removing this, there is a larger piece that has to be removed which covers the back screw on the striker loop. Does anyone know how to remove it? I am concerned I might break it. There are no screws on this piece.

The rubber weather seal is notorious for squeaking on all doors. there is a thread somewhere on a fix - putting tubing inside the seal, as apparently the squeak comes from the inside. Too much hassle for me to deal with, but I'd make sure you aren't trying to solve a problem with the wrong solution.

Why not take it to the dealer & let them fix it for free under warranty while you catch up on some email?

I have the weather strip squeak too. I am hoping adjusting the doors will tighten that up also. With the doors open and the A C doors closed, you can take your hands and move the A C doors in and out slightly making a clunking noise. As far as the dealer fixing the problem, that is my last resort. I have had some bad experiences with them trying to fix noises. I had a noise in the head liner on a truck and the guy that tried to fix it pulled the head liner down breaking the clips that held it in place. He took globs of putty (duct seal) to hold it in place. You can guess how long that lasted.

I read through the 2015 warranty details the other night. There is actually a line in there about materials vibrating or rattling.

You paid a premium for a new truck because it had the support of the manufacturer in terms of a warranty wherein they fix issues that come up. You have an issue that has come up. Just take it to a dealership and they will fix it right for you (to your discretion) under warranty using OEM parts where needed. That's the whole point.

Any suggestions on how to remove the trim piece in the photo? I can't see how it attaches.

pull on it. it will come off, and you might even get away without breaking any of the clips.
