I got the same news with my german shepherd a few weeks ago too, metastasized throughout his lungs and all.. Luckily it hasn't effected him much yet but I know it will eventually. I know the feeling, sorry to here about Baxter.

Seriously can't get enough of this front end...
I just placed a couple orders this weekend to upgrade a few things.
The wife is out of town which is always a good time to start spending money in my opinion.
I live by the line " shoot first ask questions later " or " buy more truck parts and ask for forgiveness when and if she finds out later "

I am sorry for your news also! Mine has Lymphoma and it came on fast and has been effecting him and his breathing.
He is on steroids now which are helping but we are having the talk with the vet about Chemo options this week.
I'll keep your pup in my thoughts!

Thanks man! Its definitely tough for sure. Mine is 10.5 years old so we aren't going to do any life saving measures.. He's also got DM (degenerative muscle loss in his back legs, acts like his back end is drunk constantly tripping over himself) but we have him on some stuff for that which is helping. Definitely has had an amazing life as im sure you have given your dog. Always will be thinking about yours

I was fortunate enough recently to go out shooting with John Rich, from the band Big & Rich, and SilencerCo.
Such a great time and I'm not a star struck guy at all but was really surprised at how cool and engaging he was despite the fame.

I got quite a few photos but mostly of the real star... my truck :bananadance:

Not really sure what the doll head was all about...

I know how hard finding information on the forums can be sometimes on a build so I have always tried to keep the first post of this build thread up-to-date with all the parts as well as links to them for quick reference.

I just updated it so if you're new to TW or just started following along the laundry list of parts it took to build this truck is on Page 1  Oh, and I also added more of my thread links to my signature as well for quick viewing.

I found your build on Expo haha  I put links in my build couple months ago too, definitely time consuming but it's way easier to tell newcomers to check the first page rather than find the link everytime :) Oh check out my newest mod, I think you'll like it!

Thanks for your input Sean. I really appreciate the response. I decided to order 4.88's and a rear ARB Locker based on a lot of great advice from more TW members and the expertise at ECGS. I drive my wife's car during the week when I go to work so I figured I could get away with the 4.88's. I don't drive super fast when I'm on the freeway so I feel like I can keep the RPM's down decently. I'm pretty excited to test them out off-road haha. Thanks again for your input. Sorry to hear about your dog man. They really do become members of your family and the bond becomes very strong and special.

Sean really hope the pup pulls through ok. Something similar happened to our German Sheppard. Vet said she had 3 weeks left but she fought it for almost 2 years.

Truck is looking pretty kick ass.. Mine gets stolen by my dad all the time for home projects, made fun of the pack rack up until we went to the lumber yard and got hay bales all in the same trip. Any issues with the Toyo RT's? stuck between those and their AT2s. But do a lot of on road driving. Thanks for the help man, always enjoy seeing your rig pop up.

Sorry to hear about your puppy. Cuddle the shit out of him while you still can. Hopefully he can beat it and get well soon. I have a 6 year old Gordon Setter and something like that is one of my worst fears.

When I first started building my truck I was working for MusclePharm when All-Pro approached me about working for them. I was excited and it was a good run that lasted about a year but we could never quite get on the same page unfortunately.

I switched over to Pelfreybilt armor not because of a past relationship issue but because there are quite a few design differences which were more appealing and important to me.

Before going to work for All-Pro I was actually talking with Pelfreybilt, CBI and Demello about their armor and trying to learn more about armor in general and what might be the best fit for my truck.

There are a lot of nice products put out by a lot of different companies and what you run comes down to what you like.
Subtle design differences for looks and function changes for each person.

This is the first Tacoma I have owned so I have learned a lot about them in the past 2 years building this, no expert at all though, and based on the style of driving and exploring I do I have been able to further dial it in from my original build plans. Still a few more things in the works as well. It's a game of trail and error until you find those perfect products for your adventures.

I have had all 3 of the treads in Toyo's line-up and I really love them all for different reasons but for a daily driver and a weekend explorer I won't be switching from the R/T tread pattern anytime soon. I haven't noticed any offroad performance issues when compared to the M/T and on the road they have a surprisingly long life and are quite and smooth.

Awesome thanks Sean for the insight on them! I've been reading a lot of good reviews on them but no one has put some real miles on them yet. Only thing stopping me from them really is the price jump between the AT and the RT. Almost $300 for the full set

If you plan to do the monthly offroading trails and have a decent winter in your state then it's worth the upgrade for sure. Plus they look way tougher which makes those walks to your truck that much more exciting lol
