Peacock flats trip with the Pelfrey's September 12-13

It's funny that earlier today both open spots were booked on the 11th and when midnight came around the 11th is free and the 12th is booked. Weird...

 

One word of advise, print out the rules with the permit. I have had the gate guard try to tell me I couldn't take my dog up there because there was a hunting dog restriction. I had the rules and showed him that my permit clearly states I can take my, no good for hunting, pet bird dog up with me. He eventually caved and let me up since his notice only stated, "no hunting dogs," and my goofball dog was clearly not for hunting.

 

You going to join us for camping?

 

Damn, this looks likes its going to be one hell of an outing.

On the off chance that I can make it up to BS for a bit, how developed is the camp ground? Handicap friendly?

 

its just a big open space. the ground is pretty level, but its grass/dirt/rocks/roots. The out-house is on a slab and has a bit of room inside.

 

Ahhh, Kids still in a wheel chair. Prior to all the craziness, we used to hike/camp/fish and I know if I go up, he's going to want to go. Just don't want to get up there and have him not be able to get around and enjoy himself.

Anyone got any semi-current pics of the grounds they want to share?

If the sun, moon and stars line up and Im able to make it up for a few hours everyone cool with it? Not sure how much room is left and I don't want to cram myself in if there isn't any.

Probably be me, wife, two kids and a dog. Kids and dog are well behaved, so no issues. Wife will be on leash so I can keep her under control....

how late can we sign up for day passes? i spoke to my friend and hes game, but he gotta finish wiring his truck, swapping in his 3.4 in his toy pickup

 

Day pass takes about a week to get in the mail. Unless you go down in person.

Good news! I was talking to Iven today and he told me to keep a eye on site 4 in case they cancel... they cancelled. I got site 4 and we got campsite A. It's gonna be an epic camping trip!

 

And site 9 is open. Someone get on it!

 

Ok we got all the campsite now. Good job everyone. Check the list if your name is not on it LMK or pm the guys that have room at there shelter. Once we figure this out we can start planning the food.
