Question! I keep ripping my passenger inner cv boot. I use my truck as a daily driver for probably 90% of the time. running 886x springs with 90000 shocks WITH OUT armour. Obviously putting a 100# + plate bumper on the front will lower it a bit. But i'm wondering by how much and more so, will that help bring my angles back down to something not as extreme, so that I'm not replacing boots every 2 months??? I'm have the diff drop kit installed already too.

So I did the same thing today. Bumpy was an understatement lol. But I like how she sits and handles. All in all I'm happy

    Damn. Now I'm nervous..

Woman isn't going to like getting tossed around, but I have a shell to help.

Hopefully they mellow out. She won't be riding with me much at the moment anyway, but I'd hate to ruin the ride to the point where she doesn't want to go on multi hour drives in the truck. Or worse yet, neither do I.

So street driving isn't too bad. It's the washboard style trails and pot holes that sounds like the truck is gonna rattle apart lol. But like everyone says, they mellow out, so time will tell

Pete didn't you run them without the tool load and just with the shell weight? I really haven't ever noticed a complaint from you about them.

    Yes

Cap seems to get them to engage and flex a bit , no cap they are stiff with limited flex , more weight the better ride

Agreed. On road is smooth like butter. But those forest service trails are bouncy. LOL But my lift is pretty new still. Couple weeks or less?

I don't understand why people get Dakars if they don't haul or carry constant weight

Just got my complete OME lift kit installed today. Will try to post a couple more pics later.

    20150813_114420.jpg

    20150813_114443.jpg

What did you put up front & what did you get? - 885s, Nitrocharger Sport Shocks, OME Driver Side Trim Packer, LR UCAs
What did you put in back & what did you get? - Dakar Leafs, Nitrocharger Sport Shocks
Also, got the driveline bearing drop kit.
If you got Dakars on a 2nd Gen share your measurements with OZ - sorry haven't taken measurements yet.
Are you running trail armor & how much lift did you loose or what did you do to regain/maintain lift? - No trail armor.
Tire & wheel specs & rub or what you did to eliminate rub. - 265/65/17 BFG AT KO on 17"x8.5" Stealth Custom Series 6 wheels with 4.30" BS. Lots of rubbing, especially when I'm in reverse and full lock. Not sure what part of the fender or mudflaps is being contacted. What should I do - should I trim fenders/remove mudflaps, or just leave it be? This is my first "lifted" truck, so sorry if I'm asking redundant questions.
Are you still running a sway bar? - Yes, still running a sway bar.

There's other leaf packs that add height and ride softer for those that don't need increased load ability

You need to rotate the BJ on the UCA so it is forward (I cant remember the position) and then use the camber bolts to dial in good numbers. That's how I cheated the top of my spindle forward a little bit and eliminated rub.

@OZ-T, can you recollect the positions from the spec sheet off the top of your head?

Never mind, I saw your link. I went with "E". Next alignment I may have them try "F" and see if they can still finagle good numbers.

Thank you thank you! Will have the alignment shop try position "E" and then dial in good numbers from there. Will try this route before doing any fender trimming or removing mudflaps.
