    Hey All,
I just installed my Redline hood struts today. Easy install and really like the way they hold the hood. I got the Elite, and it really looks good.

Thanks Gents... I have a bad right shoulder and its nice not having to stretch overhead with my arm and prop the bar for the hood. Now just pull slide and the hood goes up. So Nice LOL

SO with three different models for just our trucks, and the highest being almost double the basic kit.

What the difference between them all?

You did a nice job on the wiring and routing and the hood pin switch for your under hood LEDs, :bikewheelie2:

I think they all work the same. I for one just like the look of the stainless under the hood. The only reason I got this version.

I called Redline about the differences between the models. They are all identical in terms of quality and function.

There's a group buy going on right now and the differences are listed there. It's also on their website too at Redline Tuning

Took advantage of the TW group buy, and just installed a pair of Elite (liked the stainless) hood lift struts. These are the hood lifts that should have come on the Tacoma from the factory (along with a host of other things). Install was a breeze and the hood now lifts with one finger. Shipping was super fast and the quality of all components is very good. This is the mod that should be at the top of every Tacoma owners list.

Did you have any problems installing the hoodstruts?
