Drained and refilled the tcase with Mobil 1 synthetic. Fluid looked ok but I have no clue when the PO changed it last. Front diff is all that's left and I'm good to go for a while

Do the 3 pics attached look familiar to anyone??? I have oil all over the inside of the driver side rear tire and hub.
Does it look like a rear axle seal leak?

Shocks are fine, brake fluid isn't leaking. Haven't taken off the tire or hubs yet to get a good look, just asking for thoughts based on the photos.

I have noticed small puddles of oil on my driveway but it only leaves a puddle when I take off out of the driveway.

Oil is leaking from the axle, the axle seal is the common culprit.

I'm sure it's the axle seal. well crap!
Anyone have experience on how long I can drive it as long as the Diff fluid does t get too low?? I'm hoping to be able to drive it to work tomorrow and then replace the seal on Saturday.

Best bet is remove the fill plug and visually/physically check fluid level.

Based on all the pics being posted this summer, that does look like the rear axle seal leak.

    Stuff and junk and things...

Sounds like brake booster, easy to replace. I did it in my old 3rd gen 4Runner while on a trip in a friend's driveway. You don't even have to open or bleed the brakes.

FR-S is probably out.. 700$/mo after insurance and car payment.

Looking at a 2004 red dbl cab v6 TRD 4x4 w/ 167k miles for 15k, should I look for lower miles, or if it runs nice/looks good should be good? was reading the tacomas buyers guide a little last night..

Just seems like a big investment for something with such high miles.
