Eh it's a bit too gassy for my liking with the turndown exhaust. 2 cats should make it a bit more bearable. And sound better. There's no pantie dropping with my 4runner anyway. I've got stock wheels.

Thanks Blake! I was just out mocking it up and I can (finally!) see how the crossover fits. Before I mocked fit it it seemed like the driver side of skid would also need a exhaust clearance cut if it didn't go under the skid. Holding it up I can see there's plenty of room if you keep it high and tight.

Would you guys not get a truck if your wife didn't like the color? My wife hates the red tundra I'm interested in but I actually really like the color. It's not the same old white, grey or black you see everywhere.

True but it is a family truck. The saying "happy wife, happy life" just keeps rolling around in my head. Might try to take my daughter with me on the Greyhound (first time on a big bus long distance) to Sac then have my brother in law give a ride from Sac to Auburn this weekend to check the truck out. Figured I could spend the night in Davis with my bro in law to break up the driving. Be a fun daddy daughter trip IMO.

Quick question.. maybe one of you has dealt with this.

I have a car that I bought over a year ago and the registration still needs to be completed from the sale. I couldn't complete it because the car wasn't running and thus wouldn't pass smog. Now I've fixed it, but the registration's not current (or in my name). Can I drive it to go get smogged and then go to the DMV? Or do I need to go to the DMV first to pay up, go get smog, and then go back to the DMV?

Short answer no, vehicle can't be on the road without a movement permit which is good for one day i.e. to and from smog/repair shop. A Temporary Operating Permit is good for usually 1 month sometimes more depending on varying circumstances. You can read more about them here.... https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/?...ntent_en/dmv/pubs/brochures/fast_facts/ffvr36

Presumably you will have both the wife and the truck for a long time right? Get something you both like, it makes it easier to do mods later.

Isn't the tundra color real close to the 4Runner color? You could always play that angle. Or say I'll get the red then have her pick out some mods (from a list you created of course). You win either way
