Discount Tire will probably price match online prices, too

Yeah I did see that... Anyone running 265/70/16 or 265/75/16 in an AT tire? Would love to pick up some General Grabber AT2's or similar but not liking the ~$130/tire price so much. It's not terrible, but I'd think the interwebs could do better!

The stock off-road package tires are technically A/T and are 265/70/16. I'm sure they are cheap but they also aren't very good tires imo.

I'm starting to look at tires, I have maybe 5-10k left on mine and while I love the Duratracs I don't know if I want to fork over $170/tire for em.

I have the crappy Dunflop 245/75/16 tires on mine right now. They look and perform terribly :(

I have the Dunlops and have no issue with them. They're not the best but they're cheap and handle the road pretty well.

    Stuff and junk and things...

    $170/tire for duratracs is cheap!

I think the 265/70/17 I put on the 4Runner were 1200ish OTD with certs

the 315/70/17 on my Dodge were 1500ish OTD

Pro tip: Anyone looking for tires find a local GM Goodrich (Markley Motors in Fort Collins, for instance, is where I got mine) because they do a deal a couple of time a year where they will match ANY written estimate and then give you a $100 rebate on top of that. Find someone who works for a competitor or play a couple against each other to get a near-cost quote from one of them and then take it into a dealership and have them price match and then send in the $100 rebate. The rebate will take a couple/few months to get but it's an easy $25 off of the lowest price per tire that you can find. I believe they're doing it right now and if not I know they are starting 9/1 but I can't recall if it's this month too. Worth the phone call.

I started on the stock 265/65/17 Dunflop AT20s. Honestly, they were mostly fine and I didn't have any trouble with them. There were a few times on trails where I spun a bit more than I do with the BFGs, but there certainly weren't as bad as all the comments would make you believe. I'm currently running BFG AT KOs in 265/75/16 (D), but they're about gone and I'm not sure what I'll do next. It looks like things have changed a bit since I last looked at tires. I'd get another set of AT KOs except they only make them in Es now. In fact, almost all the tires I've looked at are only in Es now and I'm really not sure I want to go there given how stiff the Ds are. I've thought about going 235/85. I'm seeing more choices than just MTs in that size (which was all I could find last time I looked), even the AT KOs.

Discount tire often does 100 off 400 or more and will split them into pairs to make it work twice. That's how I got my nittos

Do you have any problems running 265/75? I'm sitting stock and wondering if it would rub anywhere with the larger size...

nothing a little razor blade can't take care of, trim plastic and take the front mud flaps off and you will probably be just fine.

Problems? None at all. It does rub a bit at full lock and medium to full stuff, but very lightly and only on the mudflap. In fact I'm still running my stock mudflaps (and suspension if that wasn't clear) and haven't pulled them off or anything as I've heard happened to some people. There have been times where I've wondered if it was rubbing a bit on the UCA, but if so never bad/long enough to concern me. If I do end up going 255, I know it will probably need some trimming. And I've seen a lot of mixed posts about 285s - some people say stock and no rubbing, others say they're on the UCA and had to get spacers and do trimming. I know for sure I don't want to go that wide.

Finally landed a job today. Applied to company after company for 2 months while in Arkansas and only took me 2 weeks after moving here to get one. Figures. Oh well, took a nice 3 week vacation lol. Just glad I have an income again, it's scary relying on just your savings!
