Looks like the I4 and V6 get the same mileage... So now the I4 is even more of a poverty edition. All you get for having one is less power and a smaller price tag.

Meh I would take that 2.7 over Minivan engine anyway. Those I4 will outlive that 2GR by atleast 200 000 miles.
Plus I4 guys will be able to swap manual setup from 2gen. So less money for more options sounds like win win to me.

Plus almost 7% more bed depth according to the video. With so many journalists there, I am surprised there were not more leaks earlier. Still, Toyota will not be happy.

Still no confirmed engine code for this engine, thought the reviewer did say it was the first application for this engine in the Toyota and Lexus lineup.

Okay. If you really think this 2GR (maybe 2GR) is a minivan engine, which it isn't because it's not from a minivan, enjoy your new I4 engine. I'm sure that will give you the power to tow 10,000 lbs back from Home Depot :D.

I don't know why you would want to swap a 4 speed manual in for a 6 speed auto, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Poor BlueT....he's like the fat kid in the sandbox and all the other kids have better toys so he has to try and convince all the non-fat kids how his poverty toys are better.

Edit: Or, he could just take his toys and get out of the sandbox.

You can not tow 10 000 lb with new V6 either so whats your point ?
I4 2.7 is better choice than that 3.5V6. Not only you save tons of money but you should be able pretty easily swap 5 speed manual from 2gen, and be able to swap all the crawl boxes for it.
For the money difference you can do a lot with that I4. I would take that rather than V6 3.5. And again that 2.7 will be trouble free for many miles.

I've been trying to find the reliability information that you seem to have on the new 3.5 V6... WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INFO?!?!!??
