pickuptrucks.com are a pretty respected automotive journalism website. Doubt they would mess that up, especially after being invited by Toyota to the product demo where specs were revealed.

It's kind of like how corporations lay people off on Friday afternoons. Less chance of an incident that way.

Props to TacoJonn for finding this. Thank you.

I have seen that guy do multiple reviews and this time he looks genuinely impressed. Frankly, so am I. Pretty sure I will be getting one as I have decided no on the F150.

Wife is on board but she expects me to sell 2000 4x4 taco and 08 2x4 Tundra to get it.

Question is which one should I try to keep?

I stole it from another thread, but pickuptrucks.com is a site regularly checked by many TW members.

Sounds like I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point. I'm not scared off by the numbers, and the guy in the video does a good job of upselling this truck. At the same time... waiting a couple months and grabbing one of the last 15s as the new gen. comes in might be a good way to go!

I'm one of those people that gets a little nervous with the 1st year of the new model, especially the engine/transmission. Been toasted before. So that gets me thinking about staying with the tried and true version. If I was single, I'd be a little bit more aggressive, but with a newborn, I don't want any shop time from the growing pains of the third gen.

Maybe I'll just wait a year for the 17s.

Seems unrealistic for toyota to design a truck or spec an mpg based on how it will react to all the ways people try to bring down their mpg.

I'm hoping the Gen 3 gets at least 18/23 for a 4x4 V6 Manual (just a 1-2 mpg penalty vs. the auto). To me that would be pretty impressive. I really hope they address the big ass grill in the refresh, I really want to buy one, I just can not get past that ugly brace face grill.

He never said 19/24 MPG was with the DCLB.
