Can you add A-tac to a 2011

    Hey TW can you add A-tac and Downhill Assist Control to a 2011 Tacoma sport 4X4, i looked an cant find anything ????

    It's possible but probably very hard.

    To get A-TRAC you'd need to install the electronic brake booster off an off-road, and you'd need to swap the ECU so the traction control system knows how to use the new booster. Then you'd have to wire the new ECU to non-existing switches which is probably the hardest part. I guess that depends on how good you are at reading wiring diagrams, and if you can access them. I'm sure there is a bunch of other annoying shit that I haven't thought of too.

    Cheaper to add air lockers and maybe regear the truck while you are at it

    Differential Breather Mod Light Bar: 4 Cree LED lamps Bilstein 5100s Ride Rite Air Bags
    The rear locker will be all you need 99%+ of the time. Front locker if you are going to turn the truck into a rock crawler and run King of the Hammers. The yellow wire mod will add traction control to all tires, and getting a rear locker will fulfill most any other off road need.

    This. If a truck really needs front lockers they really need to start with a solid front axle. Tacos are reliable and reasonably tough but IFS just isn't made for the hardcore $hit.
