As TW continues to grow, there will start to be a whole crapload of threads started.

I know my voting power will decrease by suggesting this, but I think everyone should start voting on threads. I don't necessarily want to read every thread, unless they are all really good.

Cool. First I discover reputation one day, now thread rating today. I will try my best to use this newly discovered power wisely.

    Bring this back.

But the ranking should be a little different that the old stars, which never made sense. One gold star = bad is like, WTF, it's a gold star, how is that bad?

We have an immediate need to deal with the 3rd gen threads. I suggest an icon such a steaming pile of shit for all of these by default. Then they will need to earn their way out of it. Somehow. But I'm not too worried about that last bit at the moment. And I don't want to worry your pretty little head about the details involved with that right now. What's important is to quickly apply the poop icons now across the 3rd gen board, and we'll revisit these minor details later, perhaps next fiscal year or so.

    e.g.

Meanwhile, overall, we could have a simpler, very intuitive system along these lines that anyone using the internet should be able to grasp and apply with great alacrity in a minimal amount of time:

See? You didn't even have to ask what each of those meant, and there are only three. So simple. So elegant.

I look forward to your reflections on my modest proposal.

look man, if you're implying there's actually a "steaming poop gif thumbnail" on every third gen thread, I think you need to take your meds.
