What will a new engine run you? Y not get a secured loan against the current rig and get enough for the new motor swap? Just a thought

Tested the Rampage 42" to see if I like it. Think I'll mount it all up tomorrow along with my rigid pods and CBI ditch mounts

Yea but I don't really feel like investing/installing a new motor if it's just gunna crap out in another year. I know I won't be able to figure out whatever part is messed up/the root cause of the misfire.

Check out the link in my sig v pretty much have everything listed.

    Question:
Anyone know if my whole rear axle assembly will fit in an 06 second gen w/o modifications?

Haha that's why I was asking cause some 2nd gen guy just asked about it. I just checked ECGS and it says it's the same third from 95.5-present.

Umm.. I'm not trying to flame you here just want to voice my concern. I bought a truck with the same number of miles for half the price. Granted, it wasn't in CA, but I lived in CA for 3 years and am familiar with truck prices there (bought a couple of vehicles in both socal and norcal) and 12 to 13k sounds fucking ridiculous. Fucking ridiculous. Again, not flaming you here, just really don't want you to pay double what a truck is worth. Mind you, I passed up on a handful of trucks that had an asking price that was 50-100% more than what the truck should be valued at before purchasing my current 1st gen. Just throwing these words into the ring with the hopes that it motivates you to keep looking and be patient.. I love trucks but have learned not to squeeze the trigger too soon through some trial and error!

So true. Some people are out of their mind listing their 1st gens for like 15k. It takes alot of time to find the right truck. Tacoma's here in California seem to be a little more expensive.

I will if you finance me haha!

No flame taken! I totally agree, its just so hard to wait! Haha.. Generally the dbl cabs are a bit more expensive though, unless your talking about a different truck than the one in your description,
its also 2 years newer. When I was checking KBB that was about the price that was suggested, I typed in correct mileage and all the accessories(4x4, TRD, sliding rear window, etc..) I also have to go through a dealership to get financed which generally dealerships are a bit more expensive.. I mean I could start my bargaining at 9-10k but I have a feeling it's going to end up at around 12-13.. (Listed at about 15k)
