FWIW, you could also try to get the cap painted at a technical high school. I had my former 96 dodge cummins painted at a high school and they did a damn good job. The whole truck was stripped, primed, painted with base & clear using PPG Concept paint for $1350.00 and the had to realign the doors as I had them off to replace the rockers. Downside is that it takes a long time.

Started swapping the wheels out tonight, it started pouring so I'm trapped in the garage at the moment. Here's the new vs old look.image.jpgimage.jpg

Nope, don't even have power in the garage. I packed it in for the night, I'll do the other side tomorrow morning.

We had a lot of lightning and it opened up for a short while. It's steadily raining now.

There's plenty of lightning. Wouldn't mind some rain though.

No rain here! Spent the day in the city at the American natural history museum. Then got some damn good barbecue in the city, then got some drinks at a mixology bar for $6 a piece. Happy Hour is a beautiful thing

    Awesome! Sounds like fun!

On a related note, I just found out I got into the Mass Wildlife Learn to Hunt deer, 3 day program. They basically hook you up with a mentor for 3 days and teach you how to hunt. Pretty cool, and free!

    Oops.

I took this as a sign that it was time to be done for the day.
Oh well. I was pretty close to finished anyway.

I'll let you know how it goes. I missed the turkey program this spring, it filled up in minutes! I called Mass Wildlife and they put me on the short list for the deer program. I still got to do a 1 day turkey hunt program this spring which was pretty cool. I learned a lot in a short amount of time. It's a great program for new hunters just to learn the ropes.
