I have a question on wether or not the cigarette lighter is the same thing as the regular outlet as far as plugging in chargers and such. I have one of each in my truck and I wanted to know if I could just take out the cigarette lighter part and use it as a regular outlet, or if it is a different voltage or something.IMG_2810.jpg

a designated 12v power port will not allow a cigarette lighter to operate, where a cig lighter port is all metal and made to handle the heat and amp draw of the lighter coil.

both are 12v, both can be used for charger function, only the one for cig lighter can be used as such.

    both should be 15amp circuits
