    @Bennett707

Well, got it done (Tundra Brake upgrade) today!

I posted pics and mini-writeup in my build thread so as not to clutter this one.

The only problem is that when I was backing out of the shop, the brake light indicator came lit up on the console. I checked the Scan Gauge and no codes were thrown. Checked the E-Brake and it was definitely disengaged...not that it should matter since that's the rear brakes and we didn't touch them.

I drove about 20 miles home and the light was on all the way until I parked it in the garage. I did plenty of braking on the way and everything feels tight and solid, and no odd sounds.

I'm going to have to do some Googling or something to figure out what's up. Maybe someone here knows what the deal is too.

Edit: I let her sit in the garage for an hour or so. Went back out, added a little more brake fluid (even though it was above Minimum), started her up and left her in park with no foot on the brake, and released the E-Brake. No more brake indicator light. <shrug> Who knows...I'll just watch it for a a while and see what happens. Looks all good now.

It was the fluid. The brake fluid light is very sensitive and you must have it topped. No need to keep an eye on it

Agreed, I bet it was just low fluid. I would, however, keep an eye out for leaks.

I'll check out pics later. How bad was the bleed job? That's probably the only reason I haven't done it. I've bled brakes but isn't the taco sequence require you to do the front driver last

Well it super easy, considering we just did the front ones. Maybe 10 minutes. Did the driver's first, the the passenger.

    "Taco sequence?"

order for master cylinder. thought this was the proper order

passenger rear, then drivers rear, then passenger front then drivers front for bleeding.

further away from MC to closest

probably wouldn't notice air in the rear with such a large improvement in the front

I'm not clear on why the back brakes should have been bled. There was no air introduced into the system - only the fronts needed bled. The MC never lost fluid.

Hola Oregon and Washington TWer's

Stopping by to see if any of you might be interested in joining a group that I'm a part of. :) We are actively looking for off-road enthusiasts to help us create trail guides. It is a fun and rewarding way to make a little money while doing what you love to do. We are still in the building and beta phase, but we don't have anybody in Oregon or Washington yet. So I figured I'd pop in here with a little shameless plug. Plus it'd be nice to get more Taco's on board! And I'm having a great time with it.

    Site: www.trailsoffroad.com

This is where you can find a little more info and apply if you're interested: http://www.trailsoffroad.com/contributor_requests/new

You can always PM me as well with any questions :)

Hey Lauren! Fancy seeing you around these parts haha. I'm intrigued by this... Definitely have some info I could share. Finding trail info online is pretty limited around here...

You can find a ton of good trail info for Washington trails here: http://nwjeepn.com/WAtrails.htm but it is older info, would you want new trip reports? I'd definitely be down to do that for you

That'd be awesome :D this is my little secret project I've been working on haha

GTFO oh wait this isn't my section. :p

That's how it is here, we have one particular website that everyone references, but some of the trails hadn't been updated since 2008. So our main goal is to keep trails as up to date as possible.

Yep. Just go here: http://www.trailsoffroad.com/join_our_crew And what you'll do is pick a time to schedule a meeting (over the computer voice conference, so be sure to have internet) with Todd; he's the guy who's running the show and he lives here in Colorado too. Great guy. It's just easier to explain everything over that. That way you can ask questions. And when you do that he kind of fills you in on all the details and how everything works, and then you just go from there! :D If you do it, you can tell him I sent you. I gave him the heads up that some of you on here were interested.
