Second one I've killed this summer. We have dogs and I don't want to take the chance of one of them getting bit. They come up and sun themselves in the driveway. Too many of them.

Deer, raccoons, squirrels (brown and black), all sorts of birds, fox, snakes, mountain lion, various creepy bugs and lots of bears as of late.

I had a stupid moment the other night when I stood directly under a tree in our backyard because something was making the funkiest noise I've never heard before. It was night and I was shining a flash light above me, but couldn't see anything. Figured it was a raccoon. About 10 minutes after I went back inside I learned I was standing directly under a black bear as I watched it slowly shimmy down the tree. :bananadead:

Then about 2 hours later I heard a crash out front so I got out of bed and shined our flashlight out the front door. GIANT black bear (different than the one in the tree), probably about 4 foot at the back stole the neighbors trash across the street and was eating it in the front yard. Dang thing started walking towards us after we put the light on it. But it quickly took off down the street.

We have squirrles (I hate them), raccons, rabbits like Australia, lots of foxes, and coyotes. Other than that. I only sometimes get a neighbors chicken. I'm sure there are more things, but we live right near downtown Lawrence and we have a small yard.
