09-style backup camera on an 08 complete

    Does anyone know if Tacomas are pre-wired for an OEM camera setup? It doesn't appear that the tailgate is pre-wired but is the rear view mirror pre-wired? I've got a 2007 Tacoma and I'd like to find the necessary used parts to install an OEM setup on it.

    backup cameras were not an option in 2007 so your truck will not have anything, you'll need the camera, tailgate handle, wiring, and rear view mirror.

    My girl's truck is an 09 and it came with a camera, but no mirror/monitor? I've looked into getting her a double din screen and a dash kit but she'd really prefer the mirror. The previous owner said 09's came with half of the kit, and that it's fully wired, just need to add a deck, a flipdown, or a mirror. My question is if that's true and the truck came this way from the factory, where does the stock wiring run end? Is it up in the headliner, behind the dash, under the carpet? Her taco's way nicer than mine and it's her baby, I can't just go ripping the interior apart to find a wire that may or may not be there and just suddenly end somewhere.
