Is this what getting old feels like? I'm sore all over. My goodness.

 

I have some paint ideas for the AC control area too so that it matches the head unit fit kit

 

I have a random issue with my steering that I can't find any info on. I've had the steering basically lock up on me when I'm driving at slow speeds. It only happens going left but the steering wheel become very hard to turn for a few seconds then it goes back to normal. It's happened 3 times in the last month. Any ideas?

 

your fluid replaced anytime recently? or at all?

 

Replaced most to all the fluid when I installed my new rack less than a year ago. It's just weird it's only happened going left. Feel like Zoolander.

 

Sounds like steering rack is having issues making left turns.

 

no obstructions? I would jack it up and try to simulate a left turn and see if you can see anything.

 

Power steering rack. I remember reading about a recall for that a while ago.

 

Anybody had their VSC recalibrated or reset at the dealer after a lift was installed that can shed a little info on how to get this done?

 

I think youll be fine, bro. I had my 4" lift and the only time VSC kicked in is if i hopped a curb on accident or something drastic like that. Usually pulling out a driveway to quickly and the rear right tire hops down the curb and VSC beeps at me for a second.

 

this, my VSC only kicks on when i forget to lock my diff which turns it off, when i offroad. If i slip over a mount of dirt itll freak out.

 

Just drive a bit and see how sensitive yours is. If its going off constantly over little bumps and stuff, then yes, get it recalibrated...i think thats just a trip to the dealer and maybe like $100 for them to recalibrate.

 

@tacomgee is lower than me by a solid inch or more and had his kick on twice in a corner going less than 30MPH and he said both times the truck pitched him into the oncoming traffic lane, had no steering and no brakes.

 

Every truck is different bro. I guarantee i was at least an inch higher and way more modded and mine never went off lol

 

I guess I'll see. Just don't want to be surprised one day with my kid in the back seat. Or me in the front seat for that matter.

 

Nothing to be surprised about lol, youll feel the truck slow down and itll beep at you. Nothing drastic .

It doesnt beep. Just acts like you lose your steering and brakes. Definitely not fun. I just turn mine off now on windy roads
