Painted all my emblems in blue, backlit my front emblem and wired them into the low beams, and made a rod holder for the rail system out of some scraps at the house.IMG_20150725_173328_344.jpg IMG_20150814_191030_462.jpg IMG_20150730_211815_057.jpg

Nice job on the painting... What scraps did you have laying around for the rod holder? I have been wanting to build one myself, I rather build it than pay for one.

Already had some spare 1.5" PVC pipe left over from a rod holder I made for the kayak. The plate was just a spare piece of aluminum I had laying around 1/8" I believe. Used the same aluminum for a slide in the rail system and just threaded it for the bolts instead of backing it with a nut. Two 3/8 x 2" bolts with a couple washers and a spacer hold the slide and plate together and each pipe has two 1/4" bolts in it. Pretty much just eyeballed it and mocked it all up with a ruler and sharpie before. Might not be beautiful but it gets the job done and keeps them out the trees going down the road.

    Same as everybody else...
Added the bottle opener to the bed and switched out my hurtig reverse lights with a set of Philips 921 superbrights.Next wash and wax and that's it. I've spent just about every weekend doing some mod or another since I bought her home in April.0816151218.jpg
