Removed my front mudflaps. Still rubs slightly in reverse and full lock, but not nearly as bad as before. Now it's up to my alignment guy to give me a little more positive caster via the adjusting the balljoint on the LR UCAs.

Little more yeah. I was thinking 2.25 was more likely and maybe 2.5. I didn't end up with as much rake as I would have liked, but it rides pretty damn good. Pleasantly surprised, especially when we got the coils in and my front end weight barely compressed them. We thought for sure it was gonna be stiff. Rides great though.

One weird thing (maybe). My OME shocks didn't come with new bushings or anything? Just had a single washer and top nut. Is that normal? Had to reuse all the bushings and washers off of the 5100s.

So you switched out your 5100s for OME884s and OME9000s?

Yep! Nitro Sports front and rear with 884X and Dakars. Didn't use any shims or CB drop. No vibes at all on the test drive up to 85MPH.

It replaced 5100s front and rear with stock coils and a 3 leaf AAL.

And I'm curious why you changed the Billy's, were you not satisfied with the ride or did you just want to try something new?

Mainly because I added a constant load of 225 lbs with the shell I picked up a few months ago, it was a bit too soft for that. Took all but half an inch of rake out of the setup and when I loaded it down heavy (800-1100 lbs) it wasn't ideal. Other than the rear end and the sometimes odd road manners (which others with (5100s at 1.75 had) I loved it. I think it's the best setup under $500 IMO. I would do it again.

Dakars and 884X is a night and day difference, and one I would also do again. But I am about $1300 into the OME setup and still using factory UCAs for now. So that's going to be a way larger investment for someone. Definitely happy I went this route but it isn't cheap.
    Not for my wallet.
Pleasantly surprised! I would definitely recommend them if you have a constant load like a shell or tools, or both. I can definitely see how it would be a rough ride with an unloaded truck.

    Wow.
I understood the 884's would be about 1-1.5" of front lift. :notsure:

Those numbers are more for the 883 coils which I considered first. On a V6 4x4 DCSB. 884 is a 2" coil.

I am a lot lighter up front than that. @tacomgee has that config with a plate bumper, sliders, skids and is on 885s and he is sitting around the 1.75-2" mark.

Think I'm about to put in an order for the full OME minus the Dakar's. I don't need the increased load ability so I don't want to sacrifice the ride quality. Sounds more and more like I'll end up with the Wheelers 8 pack.

Is there any chance that someone out there may have a photo of this setup? OME with wheelers? I'd like to hear some input as to how it performs together.
