How much of a pain in the arse is it to weld those tabs on? Mind you the only thing I've ever welded was my cab mount plates.

Not sure. Dakotasyota said it was a pain but it looks the area is pretty much out in the open so it doesn't seem like the welding part would be that hard. I read a thread where they were complaining that the prep work getting the old shit off was a pain. :notsure:

I found it easy. Hardest part is removing the old ones.

Which I found easier to bend/mangle it up and get a cutoff wheel I there on the spot welds vs drilling the spot welds. 100 times faster method

    Too many to list now.
I think we charge like 4 hours to install those tabs. Takes a bit to get everything out of the way more than anything else. The welding portion is pretty straightforward.

I thought getting them off was alright. I just drilled then used a hammer and chisel. Was a pain to get all the paint out of the way for my welds. The worst part was welding them, especially on the inside. I've been spoiled with a car lift and since that was in use it wasn't easy to get a good bead under there. Not enough room to get a good angle plus I don't have a welding apron so I got some nice holes in my clothes :anonymous:

Get a wire wheel for your angle grinder. It removed the paint in that area like butter.

I should do that. I was using my brand new dewalt die grinder with sand paper on it and the gears blew out. It was stupid. I had it for like two weeks. I even lubed it every time!

Awesome build. Went through all pages. Love the vinyl floor you put in, and Rubicon in the rain! Crazy awesome! When I'm done working I'm moving to NV. I need those cam tab gussets too. :D subbed for future posts.

Thanks Crom! NV is a great state to explore and have fun in, I love it here, wouldn't move for the world.

Cam tabs still need to go in, unfortunately just haven't had time :( Truck hasn't moved since I got back from our camping trip three weeks ago, just sitting in the garage being lonely. Most days I'd rather drive the 85 anyway but the leaves are about to change and that makes for some fun trail runs in the taco. The lady loves to photograph so shes getting anxious to go snap some shots too.

Yep, agreed. Everything is about to change and hopefully they're right about the big snow year. We could really use it!

 I should have figured it was a little early for Wilson to have snow.
